Various kinds of
soldiers, including the typical American white soldiers, African American
soldiers, women soldiers, children soldiers, and immigrant soldiers fought in
the Civil War. In this part of the exhibit, visitors will experience the war
from the perspective of those not as well known in history, and better
understand their contributions to the war. This part of the exhibit also helps
understand better on how and why soldiers were treated in their lives at war and after war. Visitors will meet a diverse group of people who fought and
died in the war, and by learning about their experiences, broaden our
understanding of those who fought in the war.
